Pike County Assembly of God | Summer Missions Team 2026
Serving, Encouraging, and Sharing the Love of Christ in Guatemala
We were honored to welcome our first summer missions team of the season, Pike County Assembly of God from Pike County, Georgia.
Throughout the week, the team shared the love of Christ through home visits, prayer ministry, and the distribution of food bags to families in need. One of the highlights of the week was serving in the village of El Limón, where every one of the village's 53 families received a food bag and was ministered to with compassion and encouragement.
The team also had the privilege of visiting a nursing home in Sayaxché, delivering food and much-needed medical supplies while spending time with residents and offering prayer.
Most importantly, we rejoice that two young adults made decisions to follow Christ during the week. We are grateful for the opportunity to see lives touched, hearts encouraged, and God's love demonstrated in practical ways.

We were honored to welcome our first summer missions team of the season, Pike County Assembly of God from Pike County, Georgia.

We were honored to welcome Center Point Church as our second summer missions team, serving in Guatemala from June 13–20, 2026.
The week began with the dedication of Fares Kadosh Church, led by Pastor Juan and Adelita Madrid. As part of the celebration, the team hosted a mini medical clinic and Vacation Bible School, creating opportunities to minister to both children and families in the community.
Throughout the week, the team shared the love of Christ through home visits, prayer, and the distribution of 24 food bags to families in need. They also served at two of our schools, TOCA and Jehovah Jireh, providing Vacation Bible School activities and medical services for students and their communities. Additional ministry opportunities included hosting a VBS and medical clinic for a local church.
The week concluded with a trip to the village of El Triunfo, where the medical team provided care to 140 patients through an outdoor clinic while children participated in Vacation Bible School activities.
We are grateful for the many ways God worked throughout the week—providing medical care for those in need, encouragement and prayer for those facing challenges, and the hope of the Gospel for those seeking Christ. Light of the Nations is thankful for another team of faithful servants who gave their time, talents, and hearts to bless the people of Guatemala.
