Within the rich tapestry of Uganda's landscapes and communities, Light of the Nations collaborates closely with the Children's Charity Project, shining as a beacon of hope and support for the nation's most vulnerable young residents. This joint initiative targets marginalized and disadvantaged children, including orphans and those ensnared by circumstances of vulnerability, aged between 3 to 6 years. Together, we extend a compassionate hand not only to these young ones but also to their families and caregivers, enveloping them in a circle of care and support.
Understanding the Challenges
The backgrounds of the children we serve are heartbreakingly diverse. Many come from families so entangled in poverty that daily survival is a constant battle. Single mothers, widows, and parents grappling with substance abuse are common within our community, struggling against the tide of family negligence. Others come from families yet to find their footing, living transient lives in rented rooms, their financial instability forcing them to relocate frequently.

The Children's Charity Project, a registered NGO in Uganda under the stewardship of Pastor Johnbosco and his wife Elizabeth, is committed to addressing the complex needs of these children and their families. Our mission encompasses not just the provision of education but also the essentials of nutrition, health, and shelter. We aim to lay a foundation for a future where these children can grow, learn, and thrive despite the adversities they face from the very start of their lives.

At the core of our mission is the Feeding Ministry, ensuring that every child receives the nourishment necessary to engage in their education actively and healthily. But our commitment doesn't end with feeding; we also provide clothing, medical care, and the crucial support of counseling and guidance to nurture their mental and emotional well-being.
